Dr. Dan Skoglund was born and raised in the Midwest in Moline, Illinois. He attended college and medical school in Illinois. For his psychiatric residency, Dr. Skoglund went to a highly respected program at UT Southwestern in Dallas, Texas. The UTSW program in the large city environment gave Dr. Skoglund extensive training in many diverse settings. After completing his residency and an additional year in a Forensic Fellowship program, Dr. Skoglund moved to Austin to begin his professional career. He has been practicing psychiatry in Austin since 1998. His area of specialty is adult psychiatry (16 and older) with extensive knowledge in adult ADHD, panic/anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, and women’s issues.
